100 AI agents, 16 Windows zero-days

Security went autonomous. Microsoft’s MDASH security system orchestrates more than 100 specialized AI agents, and it found 16 new vulnerabilities in Windows networking and authentication—4 of them Critical-severity remote code execution flaws. It scored 88.45% on the CyberGym benchmark’s 1,507 tasks. Federal policy went the other direction: an FDA-style AI review floated by NEC Director Kevin Hassett was walked back within the same news cycle. Capability is shipping faster than the rules to govern it.

The OpenAI-centric era is fracturing—and its biggest backer is hedging. After an April 27 amendment ended their exclusive licensing arrangement, Microsoft’s talks with Inception center on diffusion language models that claim speeds above 1,000 tokens per second. Capital is reshaping the rest of the stack at scale: Anduril’s $5B Series H doubled its valuation to $61 billion on $2.2 billion in 2025 revenue. The model labs are no longer the only game worth funding.

And the AI buildout is now being priced at the physical layer. Fervo Energy’s IPO debut priced at $27 a share, popped 33%, and raised $1.89 billion on AI data center power demand—its market value topped $10 billion. The other constraint is silicon: Fractile’s $220M Series B funds inference chips aimed at tasks that can demand 100 million tokens of output. Power and chips are where the next round of bets is landing.
